The Make Him Stop Scrolling Play: Are Emotionally Available Men Real? A Dating Coach's Honest Answer

Mar 09, 2026

Dating coach Amanda Carroll brings her husband on the podcast to prove high-value men exist — and teaches exactly how to become the woman he can't scroll past.

The Play: Make Him Stop Scrolling

Every episode of The High Value Women's Playbook comes with a play — one clear, strategic move you can run in your life right now to get closer to the relationship you deserve.

This week's play is called The Make Him Stop Scrolling Play. And it has a thesis:

High-value men exist → But they won't stop for just anyone → So you have to make him stop scrolling.

This week, I brought my husband Sean onto the podcast for the very first time to prove part one of that thesis out loud, in his own voice.

Why I Almost Didn't Believe It Myself

I'm a dating coach. I teach women how to attract high-value partners every day. And there was still a version of me that had quietly given up.

After my divorce, after the disappointing dates, after the men who love-bombed and then vanished — I had started to believe the story my inbox tells me every single week:

"Amanda, I love what you teach. But I don't think a man like that actually exists."

I was wrong. And this week, Sean proved it.

What Sean Actually Said (The Parts You Need to Hear)

I didn't coach him. I didn't give him talking points. I just asked him questions and let him answer. Here are the moments I think every woman needs to hear:

On whether men like him exist:

"Hard to find? Yes. Impossible to find? No."

On why he put therapy in his dating profile:

Sean said that after his divorce, he took a full year to work on himself before getting on a dating app. He went to therapy specifically to rebuild his confidence — what he called "getting his mojo back." Not charm. Not swagger. Just the feeling of walking into a room and being himself again.

If there's a man in your life who is newly divorced, this is the move. And if you're a woman who wants to attract that man — look for it.

On strong, independent women:

"It's a crutch for men that are inferior and not confident in themselves."

That's Sean talking about men who call women "too masculine." He called it exactly what it is. The right man is not intimidated by your success. He's energized by it.

On what he'd tell women who are about to quit:

"Don't give that up. If I was in your life as a friend and I saw you shrink for somebody, I would be very upset."

Pull up your dating profile right now. Not later — now. Ask yourself:

  1. Does my profile show who I AM, or just what I look like?
  2. Does it give the right man something real to respond to?
  3. Does it filter OUT the wrong man before he ever hits send?

Sean also talks about the exact line he had in his dating profile that made me stop scrolling and say yes on the spot. You'll want to steal it.
